I know I mentioned in last month's article about love but this month I will continue about love. Love thy neighbour is a term used everyday by people but I want to explore this saying a bit further within the Bible. Matthew 5:43-44 says, You have heard that it was said, "Love you neighbour and hate your enemy. But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." Christians should not hate people because they are from different cultures or religions, instead pray for them. You know, Jesus never hated everyone, He respected people, such as, the women at the well, who was a Samaritan (from different cultures).
Romans 12: 9-10 says, "Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Love, honor one another......." We need to understand there is evil in the world. Christians believe that Satan is the evil one, this is a correct fact. This means people aren't evil but Satan is the problem. Be sincere in dealing with people and love people from different backgrounds, who have lost their way (by Satan playing games), and pray they will seek the truth and that is God!
