In writing about the family unit one can see different aspects, such as, supportive or hurtful but these can be related to the Bible and the relationship children have with God.
Firstly, the verse from James 1:12 (NIV), "God blesses those who persevere under trials". This verse is to the point, it is explaining to us that trials or negative things can happen. You know there are some children who are hurtful towards other children, this could considered a trial of personalities or a personality clash.
Secondly, "What to do where this occurs??" This verse may help,"As a Father cares for his children, so God cares for His own; His love is everlasting." Psalm 103: 8-18 (NIV). A good statement from the Bible. God's love is everlasting and He cares for us. My Father was like this with my brother and I, which was caring and loving. Sure, sometimes Dad would have to tell us something negative, if my brother and I were in the wrong but he tried to do it in a loving way.
If you know children are going through trials then remember the Lord is our loving Father and cares deeply for us. So, persevere by praying . Amen!
